Summary of Event: Collier County SO

Cpl. William Gifford K9 Bandit

On 11-21-10 K9 Boss was deployed to track two subjects that fled the scene of a vehicle pursuit.  Subjects were also believed to be involved in a burglary ring.
After crashing their vehicle, the two subjects attempted to elude deputies by hinding in thick mangroves.  K9 Boss was deployed and tracked the driver approximately 300 yards before apprehending him.  This was K9 Boss’s first track with an apprehension.

The passenger was located by K9 Bandit not far from where the driver was located.  The passenger surrendered to deputies.
